Comprehensive Vocational Evaluations and Situational Assessments

A Comprehensive Vocational Evaluation is designed to help individuals better understand their abilities, strengths, interests, and vocational potential. Whether someone is recovering from an injury, adjusting to a disability, exploring a career change, or preparing to re-enter the workforce, this evaluation provides valuable guidance and direction for the future.
Our goal is to empower individuals with clear, personalized recommendations that support independence, meaningful employment, and long-term success.

What Is Included in the Evaluation?

Each evaluation is tailored to the individual’s unique situation and may include:

Clinical Interview

Standardized Testing

Assessment tools may evaluate:

  • Academic achievement

  • Cognitive functioning

  • Aptitudes and abilities

  • Career interests

  • Work personality and behavioral traits

  • Transferable skills

  • Emotional and psychological factors impacting employment

Functional and Vocational Analysis

An evaluation of how physical, emotional, cognitive, and environmental factors may influence employability and workplace functioning.

Labor Market and Occupational Review

Comprehensive Written Report

A detailed report summarizing findings, diagnostic impressions when appropriate, vocational strengths, barriers, and individualized recommendations.

Early Intervention: Engaging in an evaluation early in the recovery process is proven to shorten the time away from work, reducing financial stress for the employee and costs for the employer.

Student Transitional Planning: They help students with disabilities transition from the classroom to the workforce by identifying vocational goals early.

For students or those seeking a career change, these evaluations offer a data-driven path to fulfillment.

Alignment of Interests and Aptitudes: They use standardized tests to match an individual's natural strengths with industries where they are most likely to succeed and remain satisfied.

Training Recommendations: Evaluations identify specific educational or certification gaps that, if filled, would significantly increase a person's hire ability.

Workplace Accommodations: Evaluators identify specific adjustments (e.g., ergonomic tools, modified schedules) that would allow an individual to stay employed.

Identifying Transferable Skills: They highlight existing skills that can be used in different, less physically demanding roles.

For those recovering from illness or injury, evaluations act as a "roadmap" for recovery.

Effective Rehabilitation and Return-to-Work

Career Clarity and Development

A vocational evaluation can serve as a powerful tool for decision-making and planning. It helps individuals, families, attorneys, rehabilitation professionals, and/or healthcare providers better understand a person’s vocational potential and support needs.

The information gained through the evaluation can assist with:

  • Career planning

  • Educational planning

  • Vocational rehabilitation services

  • Disability and legal cases

  • Return-to-work planning

  • Workplace accommodations

  • Long-term vocational goals

The evaluation combines professional interviews, standardized testing, behavioral observations, and review of medical, educational, and work history to create a complete picture of the individual’s vocational capabilities and needs.

Our Situational Assessments provide valuable insight into how an individual performs in real-world or simulated work environments. Through direct observation of workplace tasks, interactions, and responsibilities, we evaluate work habits, behavioral skills, task completion, problem-solving abilities, and overall job performance.

This hands-on assessment helps identify vocational strengths, areas for growth, and potential barriers to employment. The results assist in determining an individual's readiness for competitive employment and whether additional training, accommodations, or support services may be beneficial to achieve successful workplace outcomes.
