Psycho-educational Evaluations

Struggling in school can be frustrating, whether you're a student, a parent seeking answers, or an adult who has faced learning challenges for years. At The Center for Precious Minds, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to understand their unique learning style and reach their full potential.

We provide comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations for adolescents ages 11 and older, college students, and adults. Our evaluations are designed to identify strengths, clarify learning and attention challenges, and provide practical recommendations that support success in school, college, and beyond.

We believe the best outcomes come from working together. That's why we collaborate closely with parents, students, schools, and other professionals to develop a comprehensive understanding of each individual's needs. Our goal is to provide meaningful recommendations and the support needed to help every student build confidence, overcome challenges, and thrive academically and personally.

When Should You Consider an Evaluation?

You may benefit from a psycho-educational evaluation if you or your teen:

  • Struggles with reading, writing, or mathematics

  • Has difficulty paying attention or staying organized

  • Takes much longer than expected to complete assignments

  • Has declining grades despite genuine effort

  • Has trouble remembering information or following directions

  • Feels overwhelmed by schoolwork

  • Needs documentation for a 504 Plan or college accommodations

  • Is requesting accommodations for standardized testing

  • Wants to better understand their learning style and abilities

If you or your child is experiencing academic challenges, attention difficulties, or concerns about learning, we're here to help.

A comprehensive psycho-educational evaluation can provide the answers you need to better understand learning strengths, identify barriers to success, and create an effective plan for the future.

Our Process

Schedule the evaluation

If you decide not to proceed with the evaluation, you will receive a letter from the psychologist indicating the type of evaluation that was recommended.
