Vocational Rehabilitation
Florida Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) is a federal-state employment program administered by the Florida Department of Education designed to help individuals with disabilities prepare for, obtain, and maintain meaningful employment. VR works with eligible residents who have physical, intellectual, or mental health disabilities that significantly impact their ability to work. The program operates offices throughout the state to provide personalized support and employment services tailored to each person’s goals and strengths.
Services are focused on achieving competitive, integrated employment and may include career counseling, job development, vocational evaluations, assistive technology, job coaching, and educational support. VR also offers Pre-Employment Transition Services for students beginning as early as age 14 to help them explore careers and develop work readiness skills

Division of Blind Services
The Florida Division of Blind Services (DBS) is a state agency within the Florida Department of Education that supports blind and visually-impaired Floridians in achieving personal independence, employment goals, and full participation in community life. Its mission is to ensure that people who are blind or visually impaired have the tools, support, and opportunities needed to succeed — including employment-related services, independent living training, and career development
Services include career counseling, job placement, orientation & mobility training, independent living skills, adaptive technology, and low-vision aids
DBS serves people of all ages who are blind or have significant visual impairments, including Children and youth, Adults seeking employment and Seniors who want to maintain independence.
