Specialists at The Center for Precious Minds provide a wide array of services to help enhance academic and social performance. Testing, therapy and counseling are provided to support families or individuals in many different areas.

Intelligence, Personality, Learning Disability Evaluations
Psychologists perform a variety of tests to determine an individual's capacities regarding intelligence, personality and ability to learn. Specific recommendations are introduced to provide direction for counselors to best help their consumer.

Cognitive Evaluations
Testing of cognitive abilities is the process of determining an individual's cognitive strengths and weaknesses qualitatively and quantitatively approaches. Specific therapies are recommended based on the findings.

Psychotherapy & Counseling Services

Psychotherapy and counseling services are provided by our psychologists and mental heath counselors. We are dedicated to helping people recover and maintain good health. We do this through individual therapy sessions. Our specialists offer sophisticated, well-tested programs to harness the power of the mind and to help create the changes necessary to reach vocational goals.

ADHD Evaluations

Specialists at The Center for Precious Minds utilize a variety of methods to diagnose ADHD in adults. Once a positive diagnosis has been made, specific strategies are introduced to help individuals cope with neurological differences. Tutoring Center.

After a brief evaluation, tutors provide remediation and compensation by using a clinical approach that addresses learning differences with specialized teaching techniques. The therapists design individualized programs for each individual based on their neurodevelopmental profile.

ADOS

Specialists administer the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) to determine if an individual is on the Autism Spectrum. If a diagnosis is confirmed, we provide a variety of different opportunities to help the individual.

Relationship Development Intervention

RDI is a parent based clinical treatment for individuals within the autism spectrum and other relationship based disorders. The goal of RDI is to systematically teach the motivation for and skills of experience sharing.

Multidisciplinary Academic Evaluations

For students struggling in school The multidisciplinary Neurodevelopmental/Educational Evaluations enable students parents and teachers to understand why a child is struggling in school. The results from the testing allow us to pinpoint a students strengths and weaknesses and develop a learning plan, with individualized strategies for parents and educators to implement at home and at school.

Speech and Language Pathology

Speech-Language pathology involves the diagnosis and treatment of disorders that affect communication in activities of daily living. These include but are not limited to auditory processing deficits, delayed language for literacy, impaired pragmatic language function, decreased speech intelligibility, dysfluency, voice disorders and impaired swallowing (dysphagia). These services are offered in English and Spanish.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapists focus on children who are experiencing difficulties with graphomotor, gross motor and fine motor functions. Each individual session, with our licensed therapist, is designed to strengthen the child's skills to improve handwriting and other associated functions.
